Finnish artist Janne Kyttanen has created a range of 3D-printed shoes with a conceptual twist. The creative director at printing giant 3D Systems has created a quirky footwear range that can be constructed overnight to be worn the next day.

Available in four different styles of wedged heels, the shoes can be downloaded for free and constructed using 3D Systems’ CubeXprinter. Designed for 3D printing marketplace cubify, the consumer has free online access to a number of digital files where they can select their size, and later print in six to seven hours time.

Commenting on the future of 3D printing in fashion design, 3D systems praise the innovative works of Kyttanen;

“There is no longer a need to spend hours in department stores looking for the perfect shoes to match that party dress. And if you want to get in the fashion design game yourself Janne has created the Class Shoes as a basic file you can add your own style to.” (Dezeen, 2015)
