Set between annual season shows, the content of resort is also viewed as a sneak-peak of the upcoming trends within the Summer 2017 collection. On the whole, for this year’s Resort season, we see an abundance of minimal style treading in as opposed to the usual beach wear. minA

Amy Smilovic, designer of Tibi, also stated similar viewpoints in her collection. Corresponding to women’s fascinations, Amy offers tomboyish shapes in unforeseen colours with a feminine twist. Collaborating the nipped waist silhouette with slouchy pants – a modern reinterpretation is created along with the minimal trend.

Differentiating themselves from Ready-to-Wear shows, designers have to harmonise creativity and wearability for Resort. More designer brands, such as Jil SanderBoss, Lanvin and DKNY, are readily facing these challenges, thus enriching their branding.
